Design Terms and Condition

1) Scope & Precedence

These Personalization Terms (“Design Terms”) apply when you use Leatherology’s personalization tools to either:

Create a design using our AI Designer, or

Upload your own artwork for customization.

Together, these are referred to as the “Design Tools.” These terms supplement our [Terms of Use] and [Privacy Policy].

2) Key Definitions

Input: Any content or instruction you provide—whether typed into the AI Designer or uploaded manually (e.g., text prompts, images, logos, slogans, fonts).

Output: Visual content generated by the AI Designer based on your Input.

Design: The final personalization created using either the AI Designer, Upload Artwork, or a combination of both.

Model Provider: Leatherology or any third-party AI services used to generate Outputs.

3) Eligibility & Account Use

To use the AI Designer or Upload Artwork features, you must be 18 or older—or have verifiable parental consent. You’re responsible for everything done under your account.

4) Your Rights + Our License to Fulfill Your Order

You retain ownership of your Input and—where legally permitted—any Output generated by the AI Designer. When you submit a Design through either method, you grant Leatherology a worldwide, royalty-free license to use it solely to:

Manufacture and ship your order

Provide customer support

Show previews (e.g., in confirmation emails)

Improve our services (anonymized/aggregated only)

This license ends when it’s no longer reasonably needed for these purposes.

5) What You’re Promising

By using the AI Designer or Upload Artwork tools, you confirm that:

You own or have the rights to use everything you submit

Your Design doesn’t infringe on anyone’s intellectual property or privacy

You won’t include personal or sensitive data unless necessary for the order

You’ll check spelling, placement, and sizing before placing your order

6) What’s Not Allowed

You may not use the AI Designer or Upload Artwork features to submit or generate content that:

Is unlawful, hateful, obscene, or threatening

Infringes on trademarks, copyrights, or publicity rights

Includes logos, team emblems, or celebrity likenesses you don’t have permission to use

Violates anyone’s privacy or misuses their personal data

Mimics a well-known brand or signature design

7) Content That May Be Rejected

We may reject any Design created through the AI Designer or Upload Artwork if it includes language or imagery we believe is illegal, hateful, violent, profane, or inappropriate. If that happens, your order will be canceled and refunded.

8) Design Limitations

Designs made with the AI Designer may not be fully original or free of visual quirks. Outputs may be similar to designs created by others. We recommend carefully reviewing your final Design—whether uploaded or AI-generated—before purchasing.

9) How We Use AI

Some AI Designer features are powered by third-party models. These partners help generate Outputs and have their own rules and terms. Leatherology contracts with them to process your Inputs securely.

10) Data Use & Model Training

We use Inputs and Outputs from both the AI Designer and Upload Artwork tools to operate, secure, and improve our services. We may use de-identified or aggregated data to train our AI systems.

11) Design Proofs & Production Adjustments

You may see a visual preview before confirming your order. We may make small adjustments (like scaling or placement) to ensure the Design works well with our products. If major changes are needed, we’ll reach out.

12) Final Sale Policy

Orders using AI Designer or Upload Artwork are considered final sale once production begins—unless:

The item is defective

We can’t fulfill the order due to technical or policy restrictions

Return is required by law

Designs that violate these Terms will be canceled and refunded.

International Customers Note: Some regions (including the EU) exclude cancellation rights for customized goods. Your local consumer rights still apply where required.

13) Infringement Reports

To report misuse of your intellectual property, email support@leatherology.com with the following:

Description of the rights involved

Order or content reference

A signed statement

Your contact info

14) If Legal Issues Arise

You agree to defend and cover any costs if your Design—whether uploaded or AI-generated—causes legal problems for Leatherology or our partners.

15) Disclaimers & Legal Details

The AI Designer and Upload Artwork features are offered “as is.” We don’t guarantee exact results. Legal disputes are handled per our [Terms of Use].

16) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. If the changes are significant, we’ll notify you. Using the Design Tools after updates means you agree to the revised version.

Appendix A — Acceptable Use Summary

Applies to both AI Designer and Upload Artwork tools.

Content that violates any of the following is strictly prohibited and may result in canceled orders or account restrictions:

Infringing logos or copyrighted content

Hate speech, harassment, or violence

Sexual or explicit imagery (especially involving minors or ambiguous ages)

Personal data not necessary for the order

Team logos, brand marks, or celebrity likenesses without permission

Political or cause-based content that crosses our safety and decency guidelines

Attempts to impersonate brands, artists, or public figures
