Great gift idea

Medium journal
The journal is difficult to use. It does not open or close easily due to how the refillable part fits into the leather cover.It will also not lay open on a page for writing.

I am not certain I can even use it.

Impressive!
I was looking for a high-quality journal to present my boss on his retirement. This was exactly what I was hoping for. The leather is soft and the stitching is very high-quality. The presentation is better than any I've seen - wrapped in nice faux-suede and set in a beautiful metalic-look box with ribbon. I didn't even need to wrap it. It was a hit.

Beautiful product!

Perfect Gift for Anyone!
I bought this journal in navy with a personalized monogram and received it in less than a week. This journal is incredibly classy-- great quality and looks very expensive. The pages of the insert are lined, making it easy to keep notes, journal entries, etc., and best of all, the insert is refillable. The journal came wrapped in an amazingly soft suede (instead of the usual tissue paper) in a very nice box-- easy to wrap. I spent a lot of time looking for the perfect journal and found it at Leatherology. I would happily recommend this journal to anyone looking for one... FAR better quality than almost all of the others I found and for an incredibly reasonable price-- it definitely looks more expensive than others I found at well-known retail stores which are twice the price. I would also highly recommend buying any leather gift from Leatherology. Its products are of the highest quality, its prices are incredibly reasonable, and its service exceeded my expectations.
