Setting the Scene in Los Angeles
To mark the launch of our new Dumpling Collection, we hosted an intimate evening reception at Genghis Cohen in Los Angeles. The gathering brought together a curated group of tastemakers and cultural figures from across fashion, arts, entertainment, and business — each joining us to experience the collection firsthand.
Genghis Cohen, a beloved West Hollywood landmark with a character all its own, offered the ideal setting for an evening rooted in craft and connection. With its warm, storied atmosphere, the venue reflected exactly what the Dumpling Collection embodies: something familiar yet refined, understated yet distinctive.
The evening was hosted by Casey Fremont, whose discerning eye and genuine appreciation for considered design made her a natural partner for the occasion.
Discovering the Dumpling Collection
Throughout the evening, guests explored the newest additions to our lineup — each piece shaped by the same principles that have defined Leatherology from the start: thoughtful construction, clean silhouettes, and full grain leather that only improves with time.
The Dumpling Collection takes its name from its signature form — a structured, rounded shape that is as functional as it is elegant. Compact yet spacious inside, each piece is designed to move through the world with ease.
Craftsmanship, Up Close
At Leatherology, we believe the details tell the story. That philosophy was central to the evening — giving guests the opportunity to handle the pieces directly, appreciate the material quality, and understand the care that goes into every stitch and seam.
Guests also had the chance to connect with our co-founders, David and Rae Liu, and hear about the inspiration behind the collection directly from them.
A Curated Evening, A Lasting Impression
The guest list was made up of individuals who bring brands into conversation naturally — through their networks, creative communities, and cultural presence. The intimate format allowed for genuine exchange: between guests, with the collection, and with Leatherology itself.
More Than a Launch
Events like this one are about more than introducing new products. They are an opportunity to share our perspective — on craft, on design, on what it means to create something built to last — with people who understand and appreciate it.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us in Los Angeles, and to Casey Fremont for bringing the evening to life.
