The quality of the leather is great. The pen loop is really good because it has an elastic band. The pen loop in my old Dooney Burke padfolio stretched out and I was always dropping the pen. The padfolio could use at least one more pocket. Because of the seams in the photo I thought that it would have one on the outside and one more on the inside flap. It doesn't It has a small card pocket and a slightly larger pocket right next to it.
